Hypnosis has been used for centuries to help people with their problems. It is a natural therapy that focuses one's attention inward to identify ways in which they can change their life for the better. Hypnotherapy is very relaxing and versatile as it can be used to treat a many different conditions. From helping a person stop smoking to losing some weight, from helping someone relax to helping them overcome a fear or anxiety: hypnosis could be the right treatment for you. All you need to do is want to make a change and you can.
To those who have never experienced hypnotherapy directly; the topic of hypnosis may conjure up images of a person standing on a stage and using their influence to cause a member of the audience to act in a bizarre or unusual fashion. This stereotype perpetuated by stage show performers is not an accurate reflection of hypnosis.
Hypnosis can never make a person do anything they do not want to do. Hypnotherapy is a tool that assists a person in achieving their goal. If a person wishes to stop smoking via hypnosis, hypnotherapy can help them control their cravings however the individual must actually want to give up smoking first.
Many people remain fully conscious and alert during hypnosis, the so called "knock out" being another inaccurate stereotype perpetuated by performers. There are different levels of hypnotic trance one can fall into from being in a light trance where you feel like you are daydreaming but are aware of everything around you to being asleep. No matter what level of trance you fall into you will still benefit from the hypnotic process.
I am fully qualified and accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society to conduct hypnotherapy however I only offer hypnotherapy to clients over the age of 18.
